The Dungeon Darkroom

As the title states, I believe I shall call it "The Dungeon Darkroom" as my new darkroom setup will be in my old early 1900's basement.  As of now, with all my kids living at home, this is the only place I have to put it.  It should do rather well down there since it is sooo dark which is kind of a necessity for a darkroom wouldn't ya say?!   Anyway, I have been mulling over buying some film developing darkroom equipment for the last few months but just couldn't bring myself to buy anything yet.  As time would have it, I have been rather busy with digital photography with my Son's Senior Pictures and a few other notable school events, and my interests in fixing up a darkroom kind of got put on the back burner... that is, until an old childhood buddy of mine messaged me and asked if I would be interested in a darkroom setup that he was no longer using!  I immediately told him YES, I would like to have it.  So I have cleaned up a portion of the Dungeon.. err, basement and plan on putting the equipment down there once I get it.  This could not have happened at a better time as today is my birthday and the day I am going to pick the equipment up.  I am sure I will have to purchase some other things like some new chemicals and maybe a few other things to be able to run a full blown darkroom but at least this is a huge start.  I'm really excited about being able to develop film so I can have total control of the outcome of the photograph.  I hope I can advance well enough to be able to offer it as a service to at least my family and friends if they need pictures developed.  I'll keep you updated as to how the darkroom works out and possibly get some pictures to post here soon!
